F.R.E.A.K. T.I.B.E.T.
The uprising question of the Chinese legitimacy in hardly repressing the Tibetan civil rebellion in the nearly starting Olympic Games has been of a global concern. As suddenly Tibetan monks used Media to focus all attention on their claims many governments decided to give a sign of support more than ever before. As a result, among all countries, France endures the strongest reaction in China. Chinese burn our national flag. I don't think that they hate us. Is it pure deception?
First of all, China is a very old country. And it rarely lived in peace. China is a continent where poverty and starving is endemic. I know very little about China but I have been there and I can understand that Chinese and their government have other priorities than human right. They greatly and quickly grow economically. But what we do now, as foreign investors, is nothing concerning human right. We enjoy cheap and numerous workforce. How could we now interfere so proudly beside the Tibetans?
The Chinese government uses hard censorship. Truth! I can witness. Especially now that all Medias are trying to capture information and audience. They do it because such important event has a strong political meaning. This is not the games for sports but the games between nations. This is a competition where athletes wear their own national flag. Olympic Games are ruled firmly into politic purposes. Finally China won its chance to be considered, to earn money, to show how good and fast it could organise the games, how strong and well trained its people are.
Sorry for Tibet and its marvellous culture from another time. You have the right to fight. But this is not your time… What chaos would happen if every of the 56 minorities of China would separate? Who would control the mess? Why don’t we liberate Corsica or Northern Ireland? What kind of ecclesiastic ruler would be the Dalai Lama?
My opinion is that we should show our interest to Tibet with no provocations. We could go peacefully to the Chinese Olympic Games. We could improve the behaviour of our companies. We could help China to open its eyes seeing first thru their eyes. Olympic Games could be beneficial to everybody.
I made many question and gave too many opinions. What about your answers? What do you know about Tibet?
China prepared its people to Olympic Games with basic but significant improvements. It tried to change behaviours and pushed people to learn about our countries and cultures.
